Bob Bauer Studio uses only top of the line archival materials for producing our fine art pigment prints.
PAPER - For most purposes we are using Epson Premium Luster paper. The combination of ink and paper we use results in
a colorfast non fading life of 71-165 years depending whether displayed under normal or uv filter glass. This is according to Wilhelm Imaging Research
PIGMENT INKS - We also use only Epson brand (NEVER Third Party) Ultrachrome Pigment Inks. This paper and ink combination is what is able
to deliver the archival numbers mentioned above.
PRINTER - Our Studio is currently using the Epson 9600 printer. A full function professional printer which set the top standard in the
world of print quality when it was introduced. It is in use worldwide by professional printmakers who regularly create works for top
of the fine art world.
MOUNTING BOARD -
We mount our prints on high quality acid free foam core board. We never used any materials that with a pH in the acid range.
A pH of 7.0 (neutral) is our standard.
OVERMATS -
If your piece is overmatted, rest assured that we use only the highest quality AlphaMat® when cutting
our mats. This is truly the highest standard in the art world. AlphaMat is pH buffered, and is therefore 'acid resistant'. |
